Bella of Victoria Chapter 2 Teaser

I know it's been a while with this story, but I did warn everyone this would be on the back-burner until I finished ToTY. That's complete, but I was struck with a plot bunny, so I started my Witfit drabble, Delay. But, I was struck with Bella's voice today for this story, and wrote most of the chapter. Here's a little teaser.

“Hello, my dear. Ah, I see we have company,” he said jovially walking over to kiss his wife briefly on the lips.
“Yes, love. This is Ms. Owens from the adoption agency, and Ms. Isabella Swan,” she said, gesturing to us.
Dr. Cullen listened intently as Lina and Mrs. Cullen explained the situation while I sat silently observing the scene that could potentially change the course of my entire life.
After a while all the words melded together until I heard Lina clear her throat.
“Well, I’m quite happy we’ve reached some sort of tentative agreement.”
I shook my head. “Um, I’m sorry. I wasn’t really paying attention. What agreement?”

The adults in the room all stared at me. The Cullens were smiling, and Lina looked annoyed.

Hello everyone! Here's a little un-beta'd teaser for you all :) Plus some goodies below!

*Remember, you can read all the chapters here as well as on FFN!*

I’m beginning to think he really doesn’t remember shit from that night and was just being extra nice with me.
It’s not until Wednesday night when I look through G’s agenda that I notice a note in the teacher’s writing space:
Ms. Swan, I’d like to schedule a conference with you. Please let me know when you can meet. I look forward to seeing you. Regards, Mr. Cullen
Well, then. That could be interpreted a bunch of different ways.
A flurry of possibilities run through my already discombobulated mind.
He can A: want to talk about something Garrett did, good or bad, B: Want to meet to tell me how much he fantasizes taking me into the teacher’s lounge and punishing me for being a bad girl, or C: He may just want to know what I plan to bring for the first PTA bake sale.
It could go either way, really.

I also got bored the other day and cast my characters.

Edward

Bella

Garrett

Rosalie

Alice

Angela

Teaser for Merry Textmas Chapter 4 & WtNC Chapter Update

When the Night Comes
Chapter Five: Something

Here's an un-beta'd teaser for Merry Textmas Chapter 4 :)

When the doorbell rings, I mope towards the door in my baggy sweats. I don’t even have the chance to greet Alice before there’s a caravan behind her. She’s followed by Rose and Angela who come bearing gifts.
“Alrighty, we got some Pinot, Patron, two of the best men in the world...” Alice lists as Angela waves pints of Ben & Jerrys, “...and about five different chick flicks, so get comfy.”
The girls make themselves at home as my apartment is turned into Man-Hating Central.
“So spill. What did Textward do?” Rose cuts right to the chase as she flops down on the sofa, handing me a pint of Phish Food and a spoon.
I tell them how the day transpired in detail, including his fateful kiss with the redhead.  Alice and Angie gasp, mouths agape.
“What an asshole!” Alice shouts. “Did you confront the bastard?”
“No, I was kinda in shock. I really didn’t want to see the rest of it. I already feel like I want to pour bleach in my eyes to erase the visual. I ran,” I sigh, defeated.
“Well, maybe it was a misunderstanding. Maybe it was a family member or something?” Dear Angela, always the optimist.
“Um, no. The chick was sucking his face off.”

Teaser for When the Night Comes Chapter 5

Here's an unedited teaser from Chapter 3 of When the Night Comes. It's slowly coming along. When will I update? I'll tweet about it ;) Thanks for all your patience!

Not that there was anything wrong with flirting or getting involved with a guest, but there was just something unsettling about it; as if there was some invisible “Handbook of Acceptable Practices for Innkeepers” or some similar nonsense. Bella quickly chastised herself for feeling guilty about being attracted to a guest and talked herself into believing that it was in fact, okay to do a little flirting.
It wouldn’t go much farther... it couldn’t, she thought. He’d be gone in another week.

Teaser for Merry Textmas Chapter 3

Like I said in a few review replies, TRUST! Next chapter should post sometime over the weekend. Remember, this is un-beta'd, so don't kill me over grammar/spelling issues :P

I had wanted nothing more than to have her stay with me in my bed all day, requesting encore performances of what we had done last night. But I understood that she had to go to work, and I promised to text her later to see her again tonight.
But now, I have a presentation. A stupid pitch with the account I’m working on. And as soon as I enter, my mood takes a huge dump.
Victoria.
Of all the days...
“Hey there, stranger. Haven’t seen you in a while,” she coos. But it sounds more like annoying baby talk.
“What are you doing here?” I ask as I pour myself a cup of coffee and grab a doughnut.
“Oh, I was asked to accompany my clients today. When I heard who was doing the pitch, I just couldn’t stay away,” she teases, flipping her ridiculous fake red hair over her shoulder and patting the seat next to me.

“I really wish you would’ve, and no, I’m okay right here,” I respond, unimpressed, sitting across from her on the other side of the long table.

Evening the Score Chapter 18 Teaser!

Chapter should be posted Thursday or Friday! Thanks for all your patience!
~*~*~*~

So I need a little liquid courage and discreetly consume three glasses of pino noir. Everyone else does too. We’re all pretty happy. Laughter is contagious. Currently Esme, Edward’s mom, is telling stories of his first little league soccer game when he was five.
“So he ran in the opposite direction to the other team’s goal! He... he... oh...” Esme is having trouble finishing her sentence through all the hysterical hiccups of giggles. Luckily, Carlisle, Edward’s dad finishes the story for her. But he’s not fairing much better. His face is already red from the laughing fit that attacked him earlier.
“Oh, Edward was just so excited. He thought everyone was cheering him on when in fact the coaches were yelling at him and waving him down to run the other way!”
I die. By this point, I’m already peeling over on the sofa, hugging my stomach and wiping tears from my eyes. I hear Edward huff impatiently.
“Okay, laugh now. I’m glad you’re all amused. I was five for crying out loud! My teammates weren’t doing any better. If I remember correctly, Timmy Roberts ran right off the field!  At least I kicked the shit out of that ball and made the goal!”
I glance at him to see if he’s as irritated as he sounds, only to find a smile tugging on his lips. He catches my stare and his smile widens until he’s joining us in our gigglefest.
I can’t remember the last time I had so much fun. Being here in such a comfortable setting the Edward and his parents is a telltale sign of how far I’ve come. I want this. I want all of it. The laughter, the family gatherings, the love and support.

Teaser for When the Night Comes Chapter 2

Here you go!

Her voice was clear and lovely, but he could hear a certain lilt that brought him back to other times...times that were unstable, and uncertain...chaotic. It was her voice that grounded him, returning him to the present.
“That’s great. But please call me Bella. Miss Swan makes me feel old and matronly,” She said with a light laugh.
He merely nodded with a shy smile, before she continued.
“Well, I hope you’re hungry, Mr. Cullen. Rosie’s serving up her famous breakfast any minute,” Bella offered a genuine smile. If she only knew how hauntingly beautiful she was, he thought.
As she quickly gathered her things and turned her back towards the house, he spoke.
“It’s Edward.”
He spoke so softly that Bella wasn’t sure she heard correctly. She turned to him.
“I’m sorry?”
“It’s Edward....I’d like it if you’d call me Edward.”
